We’re looking at his only fifth racing season, and third in motorsport. In 2021 and 2022, Lukas raced three different karting series; 4-stroke, because of its lower environmental impact. He became champion in all of them. Lukas then also explored electric racing by competing in a number of BSR Electric kart races in the Netherlands/Belgium. In 2023, at the age of 15, he made the switch to race cars. In the PTC Racing Cup, he raced a Citroën C1 and became champion in the rookie classification. He was also the winner of SuperSpa 2023 at Spa-Francorchamps.
In 2024, a Formula-4 test was conducted at the Paul Ricard circuit, on sustainable fuel. Even though his lap times were among the fastest, without any prior experience, Lukas decided for GT racing with much conviction. “Because of the opportunities that it offers for further growth as a racing driver. And because of the enormously high budgets nowadays involved in formula racing,” Lukas explains. In 2024 and 2025, he raced the electric NXT Gen Cup. And in the 2025 season he also competed in the BMW Racing Cup.

The NXT Gen Cup is part of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) program, just like the ADAC GT4 Germany. The DTM is considered to be one of the most important touring car championships in Europe, and therefore attracts much attention. The major German circuits of Oschersleben, Norisring, Nürburgring, and Sachsenring were visited in succession by the innovative electric series. At the Norisring, no less than 112,000 visitors came to enjoy the racing spectacle.

After Lukas finished fourth as a rookie in 2024, he wanted to compete in the NXT Gen Cup once more in 2025. “We had a clear goal in mind: to compete for the title,” says Lukas. “In preparation for this, I trained a lot on the simulator with my coach. We also determined our racing strategies for each circuit in advance by analyzing last year's races.”
The end result: fourteen races, twelve podiums, including seven victories. In the 2025 NXT Gen Cup, Lukas set several records: the most victories (seven) in a NXT Gen Cup championship, the most consecutive victories (six), and the largest lead in the final standings (85 points). One more for the statistics: it was the first time in the three-year history of the NXT Gen Cup that the fight for the title had already been decided before the final race.

“I’m now saying goodbye to front-wheel-drive race cars for good, and will take the next step in my racing career”, Lukas announces. In 2026, Lukas wants to compete in the ADAC GT4 Germany series. This highly appealing championship, again part of the DTM calendar, will be held at the Red Bull Ring, Norisring, Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, Nürburgring, Sachsenring, and Hockenheimring. All renowned circuits that attract big crowds. In 2025, the ADAC GT4 Germany had a media reach of 311 million people worldwide.
The ADAC GT4 Germany offers exiting close-cup racing amongst Aston Martin, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, and Toyota GT4 race cars. It’s a driver duo per car, with a mandatory driver change halfway each 50-60 minute race. The ADAC GT4 Germany is seen as a ‘series for rising talents’. Live broadcasts will cover each race.

Lukas wants to compete in the ADAC GT4 Germany with a BMW M4 GT4 EVO (550hp). “I feel closely connected to the brand’s performance, having driven the MINI Cooper SE and BMW M240i race cars already. And apart from that, BMW and I both stand for promoting innovation and sustainability”, Lukas explains. End of October, Lukas competed in the final round for the BMW M Racing Academy 2026. He was given a wildcard after his performance both on and off track during the 2025 season. Lukas: “A big honor, and a great experience in which a gained many valuable new insights that I can use as a driver.”
